Welcome to my page for Littlefield researchers! I hope that you will be able to learn at least a little more about your Littlefield heritage from this website. I put it up so that I could be able to meet more people who are researching this family name and maybe even meet some not-so-distant cousins! Most of the actual genealogical data I have is on descendants of Edmund Littlefield of Wells, Maine since that is the line I come from.

I think it's important to note that I do not, in any way, have complete data on the Edmund line. Some folks have spent well over 40 years tracing Edmund's descendants and are still not finished! I felt I should mention this because I've gotten way too many emails from people who give me their grandfather's name and expect ME to tie them into the tree. I'll say right now that you will have to be able to go back at least 5 or 6 generations before you can even get close to figuring the rest out. This web page is here to be a central point where we can meet and exchange research on our ancestors. It is by no means a complete and ultimate depository of information.

Right now, I've transcribed a good deal of what has been published in the Littlefield Family Newsletter for Edmund's descendants (the first five generations which roughly extends into the late 1700's). If you have documents that support different facts than what I have, please email me and let me know! I'd like my data to be as accurate and as well-documented as possible! I will be sending update notices via the discussion list when major changes take place.

Enjoy the site and feel free to send me email (greg @ Littlefieldhistory.com - no spaces.) and say HI!   I also now have a fax number if you have any source documents you would care to pass my way: 1-801-848-2536. It's courtesy of the folks at Efax.com!

This page is dedicated to the memories of Charles Littlefield Seaman, Alan W. Littlefield and Norman Littlefield. Without their help, my research would have had a hard time getting off the ground.

Thanks, guys.
